On Barack Obama's trip to Europe he said that America had "made mistakes". Today the House of Representatives voted to apologize for slavery. I would like to make a list of my own things for which America should apologize. This is not in order of importance, just a brainstorm.
- Not building a Petroleum refinery in the last 30 years.
- Decreasing instead of increasing domestic oil production for the last 30 years..
- Not building any Nuclear power plants in 30 years.
- Not using good forest management to prevent major yearly fires.
- Not enforcing the border.
- Allowing political correctness to exist.
- Having laws and government programs based on the color of your skin.
- Having laws and government programs based on your x and y chromosomes.
- Having laws that judge your thoughts not your actions.
- Having a tax system that discourages success.
- Basing any policy on global warming.
- Taking any reference to God out of public life.
- Having many school systems that fail.
- Going from a melting pot to a salad bowl.
- Forgetting that freedom, liberty and personal property rights and capitalism are what made this country great.
- Getting away from State’s rights and toward centralized government.
- Letting our foreign policy be weak enough to let 9-11 happen.
- Everything action Jimmy Carter took as President.
- The ACLU.
- Jane Fonda.
- The state of journalism today.
- Taking away trans-fats.
- Café standards in cars.
- Roe versus Wade.
- Gun free zones.
